2009 was either a banner year for rallies for me, or a bust, depending on how you look at it.
This year I doubled my rally count, hitting two rallies. The past ten years or so,
health, and a non running motorcycle have slowed my ralling down. Have made only the Hoosier
Beemer rally for the past ten years or so. As I never stay overnite at Mascatatuck Park,
this almost doesn't count as a rally. And recently, work has kept me away on Thursday
night and Fridays, so I'm not spending as much time as I'd like there.
But this year, Rob Lessen sparked my interest with his "She said yes!" announcement, and
invitation to Eureka Springs. Didn't realize until the last minute that this was a
renewal of vows, but was all worked up to go, and had Hanna a reservation at the kennel, so
off I went, and had a marvelous time. It's about a 600 mile drive going, and about a
700 mile drive coming back... (I took a wrong turn on the Interstate in Illinois, and
wasted several hours.)
Maybe I can do three rallies in 2010.
And, my goal for 2010 is a Saddle Sore 1000. Remember folks, you read it here first!
