This type of steam engine is frequently the first type of engine most modelers build. It's simple to build, only three major parts, and the wobbler takes care of the valving without any additional tiny parts.

Another fine wobbler built by Thayer Syme. This engine first ran on 16 August, 2009. This was Thayer's first attempt to build an engine.
